ExtractNow 4.39
Publisher's Description:
ExtractNow - Why wear out your clicking finger extracting files one by one when you can extract at once? ExtractNow does a fine job of bundling compressed files and extracting their contents in one fell swoop. ExtractNow has a clean, well-designed and easy-to-use interface. To extract files, simply drag and drop them into the main program window, or right-click the files while in Windows Explorer. ExtractNow supports the two most popular compression formats, ZIP and RAR, as well as a handful of other formats. Simple but not simplistic, this is a powerful and reliable program that will be of use to anyone who manages many compressed files.

Top Notch
I set out to find an unzip program for my new Vista. I use to use Zip Genius but it doesn't support Vista. I've tried a few others with no luck. I'm not a business so I'm not going to pay 30 bucks for WinZip. I simply want to extract zip and rar from time to time and this baby does a great job! Also, unlike Zip Genius, this puts all the extracted file into it's own folder.
Nathan Moinvaziri is the real zip genius!

Vista Friendly Extraction Tool
Since I've had Vista I've had nothing but problems, one of them being that there apparently is no unzip program supplied by Microsoft. Whenever I would try to unzip a file, my computer would go haywire. Unfortunately, many of the programs I needed to restore when my old computer died came in zip files.
For anyone who has used Vista, you know how tempermental it is. For example, AOL 9.0 VR is supposed to be for Vista, but it doesn't work very well (which I thought was a router problem, and $79.00 later found out it was AOL). Anyway, I downloaded ExtractNow with low expectations (it was the first one I tried, and NOTHING works with VISTA the first time you try) and was surprised to see how easy it was to open zip files, with no compatibility issue with Vista.

good !!
Extract Now is a very good archiver; I used it on XP for a couple years with no issues, so have installed it in Vista, doing fine so far. Install as administrator and all should be fine. Thanks for the software all you who created it, good stuff.
